When Anne Ross saw a need in her community, she did something about it. If children needed to be fed, bathed or hugged, she responded. When abused women needed counselling, Anne Ross made sure they got help.

Her years of experience in community service confirmed her belief that people's health could not be separated from their emotional, social and economic circumstances. This conviction led her to pioneer a holistic approach to the delivery of services at Winnipeg's Mount Carmel Community Clinic.

Anne passed away in 1998, in her eighties. This video reveals the story of a great Canadian health activist and serves as a testament to what one person can accomplish through love and commitment.
