Arts Days - Poetry
200330 secFilm: Animation
Direction: Serene El-haj Daoud
Production: Michael Fukushima
Produced by the National Film Board of Canada for the Department of Canadian Heritage.
A metaphorical journey into the creative process of making the art called poetry, in celebration of World Poetry Day. In this highly stylized animation, the voices and texts of the global village are unconsciously absorbed by a young woman into the fabric of her very being. Once inside, those raw art materials are transformed into something the young woman suddenly, surprisingly and delightfully, recognizes as poetic art. A film without words.
