This slow-motion study of one of classical ballet’s most spectacular forms, the adagio from the pas de deux, was a revelation for most audience members. It displays the control, balance and precision of the dancers’ every gesture as they move through each pirouette, arabesque and jeté. Set to Albinoni’s Adagio, the film, which features the internationally renowned Canadian dancers David and Anna Marie Holmes, offered dance students a unique tool to better understand their art form.
