Champions in the Making shows in action many of Canada's Olympic contenders. In addition it brings to the screen some of the Dominion's future young sports eagerly training for the 1952 Games.

Smooth, graceful and glamorous Barbara Ann Scott is seen doing her Alice in Wonderland routine as well as an exhibition of Olympic free style skating. This is the first film where she has actually posed for the sequences.

Another top-notcher in action before the camera is Canada's first ranking tennis star, Henri Rochon of Montreal. Other famous sports names such as Gus Ryder and Bill Cutts also appear.

Young Canadian hopefuls in track and field, swimming and rowing such as Kim Kimbark, Dave Black and George Lynch are shown as they receive training at the Ontario Athletic Camp on Lake Couchiching. With the best coaching available, the young fry are seen putting in a hard stint with an eye to becoming future Canadian Champs.
