After murdering and partially dismembering the young girl, Worth disposed of, retrieved and relocated the rotting corps of Trina several times over the next 6 months. Authorities, tipped off by Worth's stepson, and his own sister whith whom he had shared his dark secret, began tight surveillance on Worth after providing him a car and money through his brother-in-law so he could return to Ontario and lead investigators to the body of the young girl. When Worth was observed dumping evidence in a garbage, the cops moved in and arrested him. In the back seat of the car in a gym bag was the partially decomposed head of Trina Campbell.
