What better subject for the cartoonist than the story of how life came into being on this planet? Darwin himself would get a chuckle from the way Michael Mills describes the process in this animation film. It's all here, but funnier, more indelible than any learned treatise could render, right from the time when single-celled amoebae romped about the ocean depths, until the first amphibious creatures crawled onto land, eventually to become the progenitors of homo sapiens. Film without words.
