A report on Chalk River, Canada's atomic energy project, and on South Africa. Beyond the fences and armed guards of the Chalk River plant the camera probes a new frontier of science. We see the production and handling of radioactive isotopes for use in medical and agricultural research. The second item, reporting on the successful visit of the Canadian trade mission to South Africa, surveys the industrialization that has had such a marked effect on this Commonwealth nation.
