A National Film Board of Canada production.

As one of the few Indigenous professional athletes of his time, Theo Fleury was a hero to many and a trailblazer in the National Hockey League. Despite reaching the highest pinnacles of his sport—winning the Stanley Cup and Olympic gold—behind the scenes, this charismatic Métis star was grappling with the deep trauma wrought from the sexual abuse he suffered as an adolescent. Filmed in front of a captivated audience during a visit to Attawapiskat (Kattawapiskak), Fleury shares his arresting story of surviving abuse and overcoming severe addictions.
