The Islanders

Prince Edward Island in retrospect--an account of the province's past as reconstructed through black-and-white photographs from various government, public and private collections, and the memories of islanders who lived at the turn of the century. The circumstances that led it, somewhat reluctantly, to become a Canadian province, are part of the story.
