A look at Toronto's Canadian National Exhibition through the eyes of a small boy. Johnny escapes the grown-up interests of his parents and goes on his own tour, shaking the prime minister's hand, meeting Barbara Ann Scott and Joe Louis, and marvelling at the magic of modern science. Tired and hungry, but happy, he is reunited with his relieved parents for the trip back home.
