No parade of power, faith or pilgrimage ever held as much promise for change as this strange, cumbersome truck convoy from Canada in 1967. The cargo was a calandria, the seventy-ton heart of an atomic reactor, headed for Rajasthan. Even the biggest traditional juggernauts could not match this one, passing over roads specially strengthened and through city walls torn down to make way.
