Long Shadows

Long Shadows combines direct animation and traditional cel animation to create a phantasmagoric rendering of 1950’s Canadiana. This is the beginning of a series of works exploring the relationship between sound and representation in cinema starting with re-creation of the early sound on disc vitaphone system operating with a separate soundtrack on vinyl record. Produced with the assistance of the NFB’s FAP program.
