Making a Decision

Teenagers resent being told what they ought to do, but have they the resources for making their own decisions? This question is succintly illustrated in the quandary of a high-school girl who is determined to go to a gathering of her own friends rather than to a family gathering. When parental objections are removed and the choice is left entirely up to her, she becomes uncertain. As in other films in this discussion series, the film audience is asked to make the final decision.
