How the cinemicroscope and the time-lapse camera have succeeded in probing infinitesimal forms of life is shown as Fred Davis visits the National Film Board's Ottawa studios. The first stages of life of a chick embryo and the hatching of bass eggs are seen in greatly magnified form. Time-lapse photography reveals the opening of blossoms and the downward progress of roots in soil. Tiny plant parasites assume the proportions of giants of the insect world.
