On her journey to understand what Islam is all about, a Canadian filmmaker meets bright and courageous women from Black Africa, Maghreb and the Arabic peninsula who talk about their lives, their struggles and their dreams. The men from these regions also express their thoughts and concerns. The echo of the media, and of letters from an Algerian friend form a backdrop, confirming that violence is still a threat. A tribute from the North to the South. In French with English subtitles.
