Near Silence is a love story between Roger, a former concert pianist who has later stage Huntington's disease, and his wife, Fay. Since the onset of his illness ten years ago, Roger has lost control of his movements, and the ability to think and communicate. No longer able to cope with her husband's incapacitated state and the deterioration of their marriage, Fay struggles to find meaning in their existence. Produced with the assistance of the NFB's FAP Program.
