Never-Endum Referendum

Politics at its most personal. Shot in the months following the 1995 referendum in Quebec, this entertaining documentary shows Quebecers struggling with the way the debate plays out in their personal lives: families are split, neighbours and co-workers find themselves on opposite sides of the political fence and young people try to come up with new ways to look at the issues. Never-Endum Referendum features writer Josh Freed and filmmaker Jacques Godbout. Freed is the Montrealer who first coined the phrase 'never-endum referendum,' and both he and Godbout are well-known moderates on opposite sides of the political fence. Sprinkled throughout the film are the comedic barbs of Montreal troubadours Bowser and Blue.
