This half-hour drama looks at the experiences of three young people, Bill, Emily, and Lawrence, who have recently moved from their Indian reserve to the city. By focussing on the areas of skills training, employment opportunities, and on-the-job pressures, New Day - New Horizons serves as a useful tool for preparing Native people for the demands of working in an urban environment. As well, it will be helpful for potential employers, enabling them to recognize some of the stresses that Native people face when adjusting to a new culture.
