An informative and skillfully crafted documentary on how the mutual planning of engineers and environmentalists can result in a modern four-lane highway while preserving environmental values. The film records the building of a new section of the TransCanada Highway--a section that traverses one of the world's most beautiful wildlife parks and Canada's oldest, Banff National Park. The reconstruction of a creek with all its original ecology, the construction of underpasses for migrating animals, and the transplantation of native vegetation were some of the meticulous steps taken to preserve the natural life and beauty of this area.
