In this small hospital on the Pakistan-Afghanistan frontier, medical specialists from the International Committee of the Red Cross (CICR) try to reduce the horror caused by war in Afghanistan. The Red Cross's work bears witness to its strong desire to maintain human dignity in the shadow of war.
