The tobacco fields around Delhi, Ontario, attract hordes of young pickers, many of whom come from Québec. This year, work is scarce. Rumour has it that foreign--and cheaper--migrant labour has been imported. The Québécois gather in the town's parks, waiting for jobs. The camera singles out a group of them, and shows their experiences at the hands of the law and a group of racist hoodlums.
