A film to show advances made in the designing and fitting of artificial limbs. Filmed at the Rehabilitation Institute of Montréal, it presents the personal story of an amputee who discards his crutches and learns to walk again with confidence. At the hospital you see the teamwork of specialists needed to put a man back on his feet. The success of this one case is repeated in others observed at the hospital.
