The Gulf War--sanctioned by the United Nations and involving Canadian military personnel more accustomed to the role of peacekeeping--was a disturbing about-face in the struggle for world peace. Peacekeeper at War uses archival footage to trace developments in the Middle East, in Canada, and at the United Nations in order to better understand the causes of the war and the roles of its participants. The video also takes us to the Persian Gulf, where tensions continue to run high and peace remains fragile.
