Peter John Peters: The Man on the Run

The crime spree began with the murder of a young woman, found naked, stabbed and strangled in the closet of an abandoned apartment in London, Ontario, belonging to Peter John Peters. The following Monday a man was found murdered in a parking garage, bludgeoned to death with a pipe, and the word goes out for the arrest of Peters. Now on the run and headed into rural Ontario, he embarked on a desperate journey of rape, robbery and abduction in an attempt to fuel his escape attempt. The small towns of western Ontario lived in fear as over 1,000 officers scoured the countryside following the trail of victims and thefts. He was finally spotted and chased into a roadblock where he was captured and arrested, ending his weeklong crime spree.
