Statistics show that nearly twenty percent of new mothers are affected by post partum depression, a condition that is neither the three-day baby blues nor the other extreme, a severe and long-term psychosis. The film shows how family relationships can suffer acutely from the responsibilities and pressures of a new baby, and how counselling and group discussions help to alleviate the emotional stress.
