Climbing a nearly perpendicular wall of rock sixty-five meters high takes cool nerve even though it's not in the Alps or the Rockies. Here it is the Precambrian rock of the Laurentian Mountains north of Montréal that attracts climbers of Le Club de montagne canadien. Mini-transmitters carried by the climbers, and daring camerawork, convey every moment of suspense as two men and a woman grope and pull and inch their way upward. Two veteran mountaineers, Fritz Wiessner and John Brett, appear briefly in the film.
