A "water poem" set in Mochizuki's familiarity with Japanese ofuro hot baths. The film explores water as a medium and repository for collective stories and histories, and for their sharing. Created in a hybrid new media form using animation, video and split screens.

Submerge: Kami No Yu was made for Hothouse 1, the NFB’s program for emerging filmmakers, whose central theme was “Water and Our Relationship to It.”.
