Script: Fernand Dansereau

A teenage boy and girl are falsely accused of planning to rob a fur warehouse. The film follows their treatment by the investigating detective, who tries to bully a confession from them. At the same time, it shows the awareness of the police chief, who knows that the detective is acting beyond his mandate and who eventually intervenes, warning him that his methods are not appropriate. The dilemma of the police who must deal constantly with the dark side of life while at the same time being expected to maintain a compassionate understanding of the people they both police and protect is underlined.
