This program presents the characteristics and advantages of Telidon, the second generation of videotex system which incorporates the most recent developments in graphics, telecommunications and computer technologies. Contrary to the teletext system which can store and transmit only a limited number of pages, Telidon has an almost unlimited capacity of pages; Telidon is much more than another television channel; it is an interactive system that allows the user to choose the information he or she wants; Telidon will never be out of date: advance in display, transmission and storage technology can be incorporated into the system.
