Produced by the National Film Board of Canada in co-operation with Folie/Culture, Sarbakan and Atelier de la mezzanine.
In this animated short, Annie Frenette brings to life a comical dictionary on madness to debunk our misconceptions about mental illness. A pawn in a board game stumbles through life, encountering definitions of his condition that are both mordantly funny and oddly disturbing. This bittersweet film for and by the people is a two-way mirror on an age-old taboo.
