Centred around 15-year-old Jeannie Munroe, this film is about communication between adolescents and their parents, and the stress created by change in a family's income situation. When her father loses his job, Jeannie has great difficulty understanding his pain and the adjustments the family has to make, but gradually gains insight into some of life's difficulties and comes a long way towards growing up.
