Lake Winnipeg is the twelfth largest lake in the world. It is also one of the most dangerous and one of the most fertile. It is an elusive place, a subtle place, an awesome place, one that can thrill you or calm you or kill you. This documentary, featuring the people who go to "The Lake"--the residents, the vacationers, the party-goers, the fishermen, the boaters--is about the strong attraction exerted by this body of water on human beings.
