The Last 100 Days recounts Canada's vital contribution to ending the First World War in 1918--as Canadian troops defeated the Germans in a succession of battles. Much of the credit for Canadian successes lay with General Arthur Currie, the only bona fide military genius Canada has ever produced. Leader of the Canadian Corps, Currie was the brilliant, unassuming strategist who mastermind victories at Passchendaele, Amiens, Drocourt and the Canal du Nord. Never appreciated at home, he was honoured as a hero in Europe.
