The Point

The Point is a feature drama set in a multiracial inner-city neighbourhood called The Point. Everything from character development, story telling, art direction, performance and filmmaking are the result of a collaborative process with teenagers from the community and professional filmmakers and writers. Through a series of workshops, the teens will craft their stories based on their real-life experiences. Shot vérité or 'dogma' style, the film presents a fresh take on youth living on the wrong side of the tracks. The Point gives sound and vision to the voice of today's young people, telling their stories in their own dramatic vernacular, reflecting the way they experience their world.
