The first international symposium of sculpture ever to take place in North America was held in Montréal in the summer of 1964. The location was the magnificently situated mountain park overlooking the city and the broad St. Lawrence. Here the film follows the work of eleven sculptors from nine countries as they hammer, chip and chisel.
