Poor Plucky can't sleep. He's afraid he might accidentally sleep in and fail to wake up the garden. Despite a series of comical attempts to lull Plucky to sleep, he keeps his drowsy eyes open all night - learning a lot about the surprising nocturnal activity in a garden. And he almost makes it to morning when... ZZZZTTT!... he finally drops off into a deep slumber. Happily, he's awakened a few minutes later by a gorgeous sunrise. And learns that he doesn't have to worry about waking up nature. It's the other way around! Glory and Plucky are kept awake by ominous shadows and a mysterious "SHWING-SHWING" sound that echoes through the garden at night. Meanwhile, Greenthumb's struggling with some fears of his own... that he won't be able to keep up with all the gardening work, like old Tom Harvester did. In a comical climax, Glory and Plucky and Greenthumb run into each other in the garden and finally admit what's been keeping them up at night, Greenthumb doing a little nighttime pruning and weeding. Everyone kicks in to help.
