Trading Places (Series 1) - Episode 5 - Trading Teenagers
200347 min 15 secFilm: Documentary
This episode of Trading Places trades two very different families who only live a 2-hour drive apart! In Jackson's Point, Ontario, Heather and Paul Fullerton are proud of the extensive achievements of their teenagers Adam, Amanda and Alex. It's a miracle if this family is ever in the same place at the same time. They all have jobs, school, and multiple extra curricular activities, from cheerleading to band practice to church youth group.
Torontonians Liam Sharp and Sheree Tams have taken their kids, Bronwen and Robin, all over the world. This family is liberal-minded, with a taste for indigenous art. Robin and Bronwen are definitely artistic - Robin attends a prestigious arts school and is heavily involved in youth theatre. Bronwen likes good music, photography and funky clothes.
Now get these two families packed and hand them the envelope that reveals all! The craziness begins with a twist in the plot, as not all members actually switch. Who has to stay behind? And who fills in for them on the other end? In Jackson's Point, the Sharp-Tams have to manage cheerleading, church group, band practice, and karate classes in between school and work. In Toronto, the Fullerton's have to come to terms with major photography assignments, skipping school and stage fright. Everyone has to cooperate to get the job done - all with someone else's pom-poms, book bag, or Bible!
