Women from Australia, Guatemala, Canada, Latvia and Pakistan who balance age old traditions with new roles as creators of social change in the areas of aboriginal rights and labour rights and against racism, sexism and poverty. They confront oppression, injustice and indifference, determined to create a better life for their children, for their communities and for their countries.
