In a relief operation of unprecedented scope, the ten countries of southern Africa have worked together for the past year to survive the worst drought of the century. Amid political upheaval, a global recession and two civil wars, they proved that a united effort can save 19 million people at risk of death by starvation. This video is about the drought, told in the words of a paramedic, a diplomat, a volunteer and a surgeon...four Canadians who cared enough about the future of Africa to do something about it.
