Where's Pete? addresses the response of a seven-year-old to the death of his teenage brother. Chad, who hopes his brother, Pete, will coach the grade two hockey team, arrives home from school to discover that Pete has died in a car accident. The film details the experiences and feelings of Chad and his parents during the first few weeks of bereavement. Throughout, Chad has flashbacks of the good times he had with his brother.
