A short documentary on how to survive outdoors in winter. Two real-life situations are enacted, involving a cross-country skier and a snowmobiler who find themselves stranded. The skier almost succumbs, but the snowmobiler, who is equipped for survival and well-advised of the dangers of hypothermia, knows how to care for himself. The film shows how knowledge means survival.
