2013Interactive: Web Experience

Production: Annette ClarkeRavida DinPaul McNeill

Produced by the National Film Board in collaboration with the Canadian Space Agency.

Get front-row seats to Chris Hadfield’s historic mission as the first Canadian commander of the International Space Station (ISS) and his subsequent return to Earth! Aimed at youth between the ages of 11 and 15, NFB Space School taps into the fascination with space that has inspired humanity for thousands of years, and reignites that sense of wonder through the use of cutting-edge interactive technologies. NFB Space School launches with two modules, Mission and Leadership, featuring exclusive footage of Hadfield and interactive videos and quizzes. The site will be updated with new modules on such subjects as astronomy, history and astrobiology.
Free for kids and families everywhere, NFB Space School is ideal for classroom use, with additional educational resources available through the NFB’s subscription-based educational portal, CAMPUS, in September 2013.
NFB Space School is developed and produced by the NFB’s Atlantic Centre in collaboration with the Canadian Space Agency (CSA). To learn more about the ISS mission and the CSA’s activities, visit Chris Hadfield’s Astronaut Mission page.
