One day, the internet came into our lives and the world changed. This gave us lots of things: access to thousands of recipes, endless pornography and… hours of wasting our time arguing with strangers for no good reason. But it also forced us to invent new words.

In this story built for Facebook, Michèle Provencher explores new words suited to new genders and non-binary people—and the linguistic difficulties they cause.
