The children of the survivors and of the perpetrators of the Holocaust share a legacy of silence. This powerful film is structured around an emotional quest by the filmmaker, herself the daughter of survivors. She seeks comprehension of the legacy through interviews with survivors and their children in Canada and Israel. Despite her own reluctance, her journey inevitably takes her to Germany, to hear the voices of her contemporaries there.
